About Me
“I don’t know how to put this, but I’m kind of a big deal.” - Ron Burgundy
I was born in Birmingham, Alabama (really a suburb–Hoover) and lived in the same neighborhood for the first 18½ years of my life. I went to high school at the Alabama School of Fine Arts in the Math & Science Department. In 2004 I attended the Illinois Institute of Technology where I joined Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity. While in Chicago, I realized I really didn’t want to be an engineer, so I decided to move back south to Auburn University. At Auburn I studied both Accounting and Computer Science. In December 2007, I graduated with a B.S. in Accounting, but I hadn’t completed all of the required Computer Science courses. Auburn’s computer science department wasn’t offering enough of the classes that I needed to take, so in the Spring of 2008 I transfered (again) to The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). In August (getting close!) I will be starting work in Atlanta as an IT Auditor. At this point I’m not sure exactly what I’ll be doing, but I guarantee it’s going to be a lot of fun.
As far as hobbies go, mine are pretty standard. As any normal person does, I like music and movies and books and TV. I also enjoy computing and the Internet, and I like to think I’m an okay programmer. I spend a good bit of time watching and playing the stock market as well. I have what I consider a nice camera and I take some pictures every once in a while. Having been in Boy Scouts for the large majority of my life, I like to go camping, although I don’t do it as much as I’d like. When I comes to sports, I like to play pretty much anything, although I think I’m best at tennis. I’m also a big sports fan. College Football is certainly my favorite, especially when the Auburn Tigers are playing. Major League Baseball comes in a close second where the Atlanta Braves are the beneficiaries of my fanship. And when it’s on, I like to watch tennis, particularly the Slams.
Oh, and ladies…I’m single :)
